This project reviews the aspects of stress from the pervasive physiological and psychological effects to the myriad of ways to prevent long-term harm. Journaling was an important exercise as it encouraged introspection of this major issue. Listing one's stressors allows for the discovery of ways to prevent or mitigate the level of stress, such as better time management or understanding how one perceives difficult situations.
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) can be a gift for many. In recent years people have sought out practices which better reflect an idea of doing less harm through more natural routes. This project provides information on the principles relating to Ayurveda, traditional Indian medicine. Since there is no licensing standards for Ayurveda, it is not regulated by any government body. In this case, it is imperative the individual performs some research to verify the practitioners qualifications for all CAM treatments.
